About Me

I am a stay at home wife and mother of three, striving to please the one who saved me, lovingly serve my husband, and gently point my children to the one who died to save them.

our life the last month and a half!

i knew i had been neglecting the blogging world, but i was quiet embarrassed and surprised when i saw that my last post was in March!  yikes!  so, what have we been up to since my last post?

I turned 30!  we celebrated with a long weekend at some friends along with a very short business trip as well (but we didn't mind it too much since we were with super fun friends!)

our helper (wrote about her around the first of the year i believe) quit at the end of March.  she said she needed to find a job that paid more so she could buy more things for her high school aged daughter.  apparently there are a lot of extra things to pay for here once your child enters high school.  these often include extra tutoring and sometimes they room at school dormitories.  we were surprised and a little sad, but we believe it was ultimately a blessing for our family (more on that in another post hopefully!)

Eliana turned 3!  i can't believe my little girl is growing up so fast!  imagine me wiping away a tear for the time that goes way too fast.

Vip continues to stay busy with his new business.  lately, he has been traveling often (usually just day trips with an occasional overnight) to the big city nearby as the clients willing to pay for his business' services are there and not where we live. (yikes! that's starting to be inconvenient, but we will just see where it leads!)  the hope is that once they have built a reputation in the big city, people in our city will be willing to pay for it here.  i've been proud of how hard he has been working, though.  we are also continuing to learn the balance of it all more and more as well, and have had some good family time in the midst of it (but, you can't ever get enough of good family time, can you?)

titus continues to grow and is starting to be quite the entertainment.  he is sitting up, but not crawling yet (almost there!), loves finger foods, but refuses to feed himself (how does that happen??), babbles lots, makes the sign for milk, is a cranky and SLOW teether (oh the joy!), and has learned he can make all of us laugh (especially his big sister) if he shakes his head back and forth really fast.  AND, if he's not teething (which he is right now, unfortunately) he is sleeping through the night!  yeah!

so, that is the reader's digest version of our life lately.  hope to be back again soon with some pics and more adventures for you!
