About Me

I am a stay at home wife and mother of three, striving to please the one who saved me, lovingly serve my husband, and gently point my children to the one who died to save them.

my big girl's big girl bed quilt (bet you can't say that three times fast!)

i finished this shortly after Christmas, but i just got a picture of it a few weeks ago before our vacation!  it was super fun making this for my sweet Elly Bean.  she helped me pick out the fabrics even!  it's very simple...just stripes with ruffles on top of the big stripes, but i feel like it really fits our little Eliana's personality...bright, playful, and unique!

i tried to get a good picture of her with her bed, but she insisted that the teddy needed to go to sleep (hence the blanket on top of him) and was not that interested in posing or smiling for me.  oh well!

oh so much fun in the sun!!

recently, we were blessed with some time to take a family vacation with some sweet friends in sunny thailand.  it was oh so needed and oh so wonderful!!  can't you tell by this picture how much we all needed and LOVED our break???
i just love how his whole face just lights up when he smiles...even from the side! :)
we enjoyed pretty much every meal outside in sunny (but not too hot) weather for 5 days!
the boys rented motor bikes and had some fun doing geotraking (don't ask me the details of what that is...some kind of treasure hunt with a gps) and even got up early to go fishing one morning.
we spent about 80% of the daylight hours i think in the water!  eliana is even more of a little fish then she was the last time we were in thailand!
our pool (yes, we had our own pool!  more on that in a sec.) had a small whirlpool that turned into a perfect little kiddie pool when the jets were turned off!  this is eliana preparing for her big jump!
still preparing...
and she's in!  (she actually just ended up stepping off each time, but it was a lot of prep to get to that step!)
loved watching her have so much fun!

i think the girls were making us some macaroni and cheese or something here.
Titus had a pretty cushy spot on the beach :)  he LOVED being in onesies and having bare toes for three weeks (we were in thailand for 3 weeks...just one week at the beach though :()
eliana loved hunting for shells and looking at the crabs, etc.  the girl has NO FEAR!!  it was amazing to see her getting swung around in the water by her daddy and just have FUN!!
the girls enjoy their macaroni and cheese (for real this time) in our own little tiki hut.  fun, huh?
titus got into the swimming action some too.  we brought along his blow up bathtub for him to float in, which he thought was pretty fun.
we think they kind of look like sisters!

our sweet home away from home!  you share the pool with the upstairs unit, but this house is used by the workers/owners of the resort, so we had the place outside all to ourselves!  the kids had their own room, and the babies had HUGE closets to sleep in!  it was AMAZING!!  did i say that already?  it was AMAZING!!
Some pictures with me and the kids!! yeah!!
the big kids had fun playing together!
we attempted to get them to all look at the camera at least!  i do love how titus and eliana are looking up at each other though!
my sweet little gifts!
just keeping it real!  titus has started to do this back bend move recently.  it usually means that he is ready to nurse!
at least 3 of the 4 are looking and smiling!
while we were there titus had his first food....yummy avacado!!  now, if only i could get that regularly here!  :)  so far, he's loving eating and doing well with all we've tried so far (avacado, brown rice cereal, and bananas)
yeah, i had a few of these while we were there :)  pineapple and coconut shakes...yummmo!!!  the cutest thing in the picture though is my little boy!  i mean, he's just so ridiculously cute, it's crazy!  ;)

the other mom and i also enjoyed two massages (thanks, guys for watching the kiddos while we were pampered!), ate entirely too many jelly beans while watching American Idol, laughed a lot, and just had a really relaxing and refreshing time.  hope that all of you have been able to have good family times recently and just laugh some with friends as well.  it does wonders for the soul!
