well, it seems that no matter what i do, i am always playing catch up! maybe one day i will have everything totally together and not be playing catch up all the time, but until then....
Eliana LOVES windows! she especially likes the one right here where the coffee and espresso makers are as well as the one in the kitchen. whenever she gets a little cranky, you just walk her over the window, let her play with the espresso machine a little, and she perks right back up. she's definitely our daughter...loves coffee and being in the center of all the action!

still loving those toes! especially with her fun barnyard socks! she's eating the cow for this picture...which shows her texan heritage. this time next year...a nice big steak! yum!
when we went to the big city last month we did a little shopping too and found her these pink crocs for about $3. she liked trying themon even though you can't quite tell from this picture. she still loves munching on those fingers and everything else for that matter!

and here's some more updates just to give you a reader's digest version of life with the Elly Bean lately.
she started eating her first solids this week!! I mashed up a big batch of sweet potatoes for her, and thankfully she loved them (since i did mash up a BIG batch!). so, now we have a pretty good supply of little frozen sweet potato cubes in the freezer for Eliana's lunch. she hasn't spit it out or refused to eat at all, so we've been super excited! in another day, i'm going to try out some banana and then we'll move on to a cereal. i'm not sure which one though because i have to track down the rice and/or grains to make it with. i'm really trying to stay away from anything storebought with her for the time being due to the recent milk scare over here. so thankul that i am nursing her!
she's rolling over both ways now and loving tummy time. i think she will be crawling by the end of the next month. she is so ready to be up and running!
she's also sleeping a lot better now and gives us an entire night some times, which is always nice but also kind of makes the nights where she wakes up a little tougher since you recently experienced just how amazing it is to have a full nights rest!
we're still working on getting the house fully decorated, but we are getting there so hopefully i can post some pictures of that soon too.
vip and i also recently celebrated 7 years of being together! October 1o was our dating anniversary, and to my surprise, my wonderful hubby came home with 84 red roses! one for every month we've been together! isn't he just the best?! i was hoping to get a picture with him and them before they died, but we were just too busy and never got around to it. big bummer! it's still so crazy to think that we have been together for that long! what a blessing from the Father!

when we were at our favorite restaurant on the beach, eliana made good friends with the workers. they liked her so much they made her her own special chair to lounge in while we ate! how special!
